The Mielno Municipality

Double joy during holidays

A whole array of tourist resorts. Public events and cultural projects by the bucketful. Exclusive accommodation facilities, extraordinary nature and historical monuments. And as if that was not enough –there’s its absolutely exceptional location. The Mielno Municipality is bordered by the sea to the north and by Jamno Lake to the south-east.

In the summer, the beautiful sandy and wide beaches attract tourists.

All year round the fresh sea breeze carries sea salt aerosol with noted medicinal properties. The winters are mild and the summers pleasantly warm here. June is the hottest month and the highest number of sunny days come in June, July and September. The Jamno Canal is a great attraction too. Right here the salty waters of the Baltic mix with the fresh water of Jamno Lake, creating exceptional natural conditions for fishing and water sports.

Tourists planning a visit have a big choice of accommodation. From luxury hotels, through to recreation and  health centres and hotels for every budget, to guesthouses and agritourism lodgings. This rich selection is complemented by a range of modern chalets in Sarbinowo, Chłopy, Gąski and Mielenko.

Interesting events and gatherings happen here all year round. The Winter Swimmers gathering, healthy lifestyle meetings, Nordic walking, Mielno’s Artistic Summer and, of course, welcoming in the new year on the promenade; these are just a selection …

Every locality in the Mielno Municipality is a leisure centre located on the shore of the Baltic Sea. Each of them has got its own individual and specific character. Mielno is a seaside resort as well as the winter swimming enthusiasts, and since 2017 it has been proud of its municipal rights. In Unieście, now technically a district of Mielno, as well as in Chłopy fishing boats come in to dock; where you find a fishing harbour, you also find fresh fish to buy and eat, naturally.

In Gąski you can admire the Baltic Sea from a tall lighthouse, and in Chłopy you can see the exact place where the 16th meridian runs. In Sarbinowo it is really worth walking along the beachside promenade as well as exploring the site where a church erected by the Knights Templar once used to stand.

Łazy has got a rich calendar of events including crazy rallies of historical tractors raced by their owners along the beach. Mielenko is characterized by peaceful accommodation and natural beauty. You cannot forget about Niegoszcz. Although it is not big, it is worth coming here in search of comfortable agritourism lodgings or a place in a guesthouse. This is just the place for lovers of paragliding, as well as those who just want to watch.
